Part
Three: Horses
June 8,
1991. We had no horses.
June 9,
2001. We had Rocky and Duma with JP and Melissa by their sides. Jimmy
also came to help out but we never got a picture of him in his
outfit.
As I said on the last page:
The only shame was that the horses had to be led in by their owners.
BUT....
After the ceremony was over JP and Mel came with us to a little area
off to the side and took a few steps back so that we could do a few
pics with just us.
As you
can see, the back of my dress covered Duma's butt. The number of
jokes about whether or not she was going to pull anything while I was
up there was incredible. Got to love your friends during these
romantic moments. ;-)
Just
before the horses went into their trailer we chose to thank them by
feeding them apples. Rocky pulled the apple from Martin's hand and
threw it all over the place. What a mess. Duma simply chose to ignore
the apple I had for her. She refused to take it from me. JP tapped
her on the head a few times to see if she was in there before she
finally ate the apple... One side at a time.
