Hello to you all!!!
Our minds are a little cluttered as we come to another close to another year. Move number 6 (in the past two years) was completed in October 2003 and it has left us disoriented and lost in a well of no concept of time and space... But boy do we now have space.
By the beginning of October our ability to function in our previous home was decreased as the walls were full of mold and the ceiling did nothing but leak, leak, leak. Our new upstairs neighbours didn't understand the concept of 'it's after 3am, we'd like to sleep now' or 'it would be really nice if we could hear our own T.V.' It quickly became toooo much. Upon mentioning this to our new hairdresser she hooked us up with her brother in law. With very little spare cash and less sleep we took the jump and made another (OUR LAST) move to this place. NOW... We have 2000 plus sq. ft. with a backyard and a garage, good neighbours, a creek and a park behind us, that includes a tennis court and horseshow toss pegs. We're slowly getting back on our feet and have EVERY INTENTION of staying RIGHT HERE for at least a few years.
Last Year's New Year's Eve was a blast. We had a small group over and simply counted down together and had a great social time. We'll have to see how this year goes. Last Christmas was spent settling Dave into Vancouver and bringing him to the Brother's with the promise to his mom that he'd have a good Christmas meal. Ofcourse Lord of the Rings was part of our Christmas time fun and it will be this year again. YAY!
Hallowe'en was fun. We carved LOTR pumpkins and we have figured out how to make Pumpkin pudding. YUM!
Let's see..... Christina: Learning Archery and got to shoot a flaming arrow at an SCA event (Mermaids). Have made a whole new circle of friends, many of which are becoming very precious to us. Now we truly have long distance as well as up close friends. This is a good thing. We have spent some time at some SCA events but have not joined. I guess we're just playing around a little. We've always liked camping but one thing is for sure... Pirate costumes if we continue with SCA camping. This whole long skirt versus the tent thing really sucks. There are always one-day things. Hmmm....
Martin: With Iguana and learning soooo much more.
Visits: Widya from Australia as well as Nancy and Cathy from Toronto. Widya came early enough to see snow on the mountains, Nancy went whale watching with us and Cathy took a well deserved break from her hectic life.
Work, the search for an agent to work with me (Christina), new headshots, new place, CC's Driver's Licence, etc and so forth. Phoenix is now bigger than Plato and twice as active. Plato has his work cut out for him. We had planned on going back to visit T.O. in September but that fell through due to Martin's work on Blade Three. Christina working on a reading series thing and an indie or two. There is more.... MUCH more but it is all such a blur.. And of course I chose last at night to write this. I'm (CC) doing a little work as a Santa's Helper right now and I am dead on my feet. I guess I'll just keep this one short and I'll just have to return to doing newsletters in the new year.
Hope you are all doing well and that we get to hear plenty of good news from everyone.
